Foam concrete is designed for fill and levelling, not structural load-bearing. Its compressive strength is far below standard concrete. It is placed below screed layers or on roof surfaces where loads are light, not as a frame element.
Why use foam concrete on Kuwaiti roofs instead of regular screed?
Kuwait's villa roofs need drainage falls, and forming them with standard screed adds significant dead load to the roof slab. Foam concrete creates the same falls at a fraction of the weight, which protects the slab over time.
How long before foam concrete is hard enough for the next layer?
Foam concrete gains walkable strength faster than standard concrete in Kuwait's warm conditions. The actual time depends on the mix density, layer thickness and site ventilation, and we confirm the readiness before the next trade begins.
Does foam concrete affect waterproofing membranes placed under it?
Foam concrete is poured at low pressure and low weight, making it safe over waterproofing membranes provided the membrane is fully cured before pouring starts. We check the membrane condition before placing any mix.
Can it fill a void under an existing slab without demolishing the floor?
Foam concrete can be injected through small core holes drilled in the slab to fill voids beneath it. This avoids demolishing the floor finish while restoring the missing support, and the core holes are patched after injection.
