Call nowCan bathroom tiles be laid directly over the existing old ones?
It is technically possible if every existing tile is fully bonded with no hollows, but in bathrooms full removal is usually preferred so a fresh waterproofing membrane can be applied underneath.
What is the difference between standard grout and epoxy grout for bathrooms?
Epoxy grout does not absorb moisture or harbour mould and resists cleaning chemicals better than cement-based grout, making it well suited to shower areas and walls around basins.
Why do grout joints crack at corners so quickly in Kuwait?
High temperatures cause repeated expansion and contraction in tiles and walls. Corner junctions must be filled with flexible silicone rather than rigid grout to absorb that movement.
Does bathroom tiling include plumbing fixtures like the toilet and basin?
Tiling work covers tiles, grout and waterproofing. Sanitary fixture installation is a separate trade that can be coordinated as part of a full bathroom renovation.
How many spare tiles should be kept after the bathroom is finished?
Keeping at least 10 percent of each tile used is advisable. Production batches shift shade over time, so an exact match is far easier from stored spares than from a new purchase.
