Call nowHow many coats do exterior gates need in Kuwait?
Exterior gates need at least one anti-rust primer coat and two topcoats. Kuwait's salt air and intense heat mean a single topcoat rarely holds long enough to be cost-effective.
Can rusty metal be spot-treated without stripping all the old paint?
Yes, if the remaining old paint is well bonded. The rusted spots are ground back, spot-primed and blended in. Where corrosion is widespread, full stripping gives a better and longer-lasting result.
What is the difference between oil-based and epoxy metal paint?
Oil-based paint is easier to apply and less expensive but less resistant to abrasion and moisture. Epoxy forms a harder, more chemically and mechanically resistant film, suited to structural steel and heavy-use metal surfaces.
Are decorative ornamental iron pieces painted the same way as flat gates?
No. Ornamental ironwork is brush-painted by hand to reach every section and narrow angle. Spray application can miss hidden recesses, leaving uncoated metal that rusts quickly in humid conditions.
Does intense heat affect how metal paint dries?
Yes. Metal heated by direct sun dries the surface coat almost instantly while the layer beneath stays wet, trapping solvents and causing blisters. Work should be done in early morning or shaded conditions.
