Call nowCan the apartment be painted while I am still living in it?
Yes if the work is organised room by room with furniture covered and windows open for ventilation. Odour from water-based paints clears quickly when rooms are ventilated after each coat.
How many coats does a repainted apartment need?
Typically one primer coat and two finish coats. If the new colour is much lighter than the old one, or the surface is highly absorbent, a third finish coat may be needed for full, even coverage.
Is washable paint necessary for Kuwaiti apartments?
Recommended for corridors, kitchens and any wall with regular hand contact. Fine dust accumulates quickly in Kuwait; frequent wiping on a non-washable coat erodes the film much earlier than expected.
Can the wall colour change completely or does it need to stay close to the original?
A complete colour change is possible. Moving from a dark shade to a light one requires a stronger blocking primer and may need an extra finish coat to achieve even coverage across all surfaces.
How are marble and ceramic floors protected during apartment painting?
Floors are fully covered with protective sheeting before work begins. Masking tape is applied to aluminium frames, skirting boards and any surface that must stay paint-free.
