Call nowCan a counter-top basin be fitted onto an existing marble vanity top without replacing it?
Yes, provided the marble is intact and free of cracks. The opening is measured and cut precisely, then the basin is seated and sealed with neutral-cure silicone. An inaccurate cut or acidic silicone will stain or crack the marble surface.
Why do white deposits form around the basin edge so quickly in Kuwait?
Kuwait's water carries heavy mineral content. As surface water evaporates it leaves calcium carbonate deposits around the basin rim and trap base. Regular cleaning with a mild descaler prevents build-up and protects the basin finish.
Does high water pressure affect the connections on a washbasin?
Yes. Excess pressure accelerates wear on braided hose seals and causes water hammer in the supply lines. Where pressure is high, a pressure reducer fitted on the supply line protects the basin connections and the trap joint.
Can a washbasin be moved to a different position within the same bathroom?
It is possible but requires extending supply and drain lines to the new position with partial tile breaking. The technician assesses the run distance and the required drain fall before quoting, as both affect the overall cost.
When should a basin bottle trap be replaced?
Replace the trap when a slow drain persists after cleaning the opening, when the body cracks, or when a joint keeps weeping despite re-tightening. Brass traps outlast plastic ones significantly in Kuwait's hard water.
