Usually yes, provided the floor drain outlet is undamaged and matches the new toilet horn position. If the horn offset differs or the outlet is cracked, limited tile cutting is needed.
Why does mineral scale keep building up inside the toilet cistern in Kuwait?
Kuwait's water is heavily mineralised. Each fill cycle leaves a thin scale deposit on the float valve and inlet seat. Over time this build-up prevents the valve from closing fully and causes constant running.
Can a western toilet be installed in a bathroom that never had one before?
It is possible but requires a new floor drain line with correct fall and a supply rough-in with a stop valve. That is full plumbing work, not just a fixture installation.
What is the practical difference between installing a floor-mounted and a wall-hung toilet?
A floor-mounted toilet anchors to the floor and connects to a vertical floor outlet. A wall-hung toilet requires a metal in-wall frame and a horizontal drain connection, making it a more complex and costly installation.
How long does a standard western toilet installation typically take?
A straightforward swap onto an existing sound drain outlet is completed within a single visit. If tile cutting or pipe adjustment is required the work extends depending on how much modification is needed.
