Call nowCan just one wall be soundproofed without touching the rest of the room?
Yes, but the lining must run tight to the ceiling, floor and adjacent walls at every edge. Any gap where the lining stops short becomes a bypass for sound and undermines the whole assembly.
Why is adding a plain gypsum board to the wall not enough?
Standard board lacks the mass to attenuate low frequencies, and hard-fixing it to the wall transfers vibrations through every screw. Effective isolation needs high-density board, a mechanical break via resilient channels, and cavity infill combined.
How much room depth will the wall lining take?
A full acoustic lining typically projects between 8 and 15 centimetres from the existing wall face, depending on the target isolation level and the noise type. We confirm the exact figure at the site visit.
Does Kuwait's coastal humidity affect the materials used inside the wall lining?
Acoustic mineral wool is inherently moisture-resistant and retains its properties. Where the lining is near condensation points or AC units, moisture-resistant gypsum board is specified to prevent long-term deterioration.
Does acoustic wall lining also improve thermal insulation?
Yes, noticeably. Acoustic mineral wool also acts as thermal insulation and reduces heat gain through any shared external wall, which lowers the load on the AC system during Kuwait's intense summer heat.
