Work starts with a precise site measure of each opening, because even a small discrepancy means the fabricated frame will not seat flush against the wall. Width and height are taken at a minimum of three points to confirm the opening is square. Once profiles arrive from the factory, frames are fixed to the wall with mechanical anchors, the gap around the perimeter is packed with expanding foam, and the outer edge is sealed with UV-resistant silicone to stop fine dust and blown moisture tracking inside.

The choice of glass directly affects thermal comfort and cooling loads. Double-glazed units trap a dead air layer that acts as a thermal barrier, while reflective coated glass cuts solar heat gain through the facade. For shower screens and glass doors only tempered glass is acceptable, because it breaks into small blunt granules rather than large shards. Aluminium ceilings in kitchens and entrance halls are built from strip or panel systems with removable sections, giving access to drainage runs and conduits above without demolishing the whole ceiling.

After installation every window and door is opened and closed multiple times to confirm smooth operation and airtight closure. Shower screen brackets are hand-tested for rigidity and glass edges are inspected for chips. When repairing aluminium kitchen units, hinges and roller mechanisms are checked and worn parts replaced before the doors go back on. Final cleaning removes silicone residue and adhesive from glass surfaces, and all offcuts and packaging are cleared from the site before handover.
