Call nowCan a thermal-break door be fitted into an existing opening without enlarging it?
Yes in most cases, though a thermal-break profile is slightly deeper than a standard one. We measure the opening first to confirm the available glass size before fabrication.
Why do older aluminium doors deteriorate faster in Kuwait's coastal areas?
Salt-laden air attacks powder coat that was applied too thin or without proper pre-treatment, causing it to flake and the alloy beneath to oxidise. Quality profiles use a chromate pre-treatment before powder coating.
Is silicone alone enough to seal the gap around a door frame?
Silicone seals the gap between the frame and the wall effectively, but full sealing also requires compression weather strips inside the rebate. Silicone alone cannot compensate for a worn door rebate seal.
What is the practical difference in insulation between sliding and hinged aluminium doors?
A hinged door presses fully against its rebate seal, giving better air and sound insulation. A sliding door is inherently less airtight by design, though good brush strips and rubber buffers reduce the difference.
Can the profile colour be changed without replacing the whole door?
The profile can be repainted on site with specialist aluminium paint, but a factory powder-coat oven gives a more durable, UV-resistant result. The overall frame condition determines which option makes more sense.
