Call nowCan the designer work on a single room rather than the whole property?
Yes. A single room such as a master bedroom or sitting room can be designed independently. The designer can also check that the new scheme relates well to adjacent spaces if that matters to you.
What is the difference between an architect and an interior designer?
An architect deals with structure, facades and building permits. An interior designer focuses on the inside: space arrangement, finishes, lighting and fitted furniture, usually after the shell is complete or during the finishing stage.
Does the interior designer advise on loose furniture as well?
Furniture recommendations can be included in the scope if requested. The designer would suggest dimensions, styles and arrangements that work with the approved scheme, without sourcing or purchasing on your behalf.
How does the designer handle existing items the client wants to keep?
Existing pieces are drawn into the plan and the new finishes and colours are chosen to relate to them. This is common in Kuwaiti villa renovations where owners keep quality items and update the surrounding scheme.
Do the designer's fees include the cost of materials and execution?
No. Design fees cover the drawings, schedules and supervision visits only. Material costs and execution labour are priced separately by the finishing team and agreed directly with the owner.
