Call nowCan spotlights be fitted into an existing old gypsum ceiling without replacing the whole ceiling?
Yes in most cases. We check the gypsum thickness and condition before cutting. If the ceiling is sound and the void depth is sufficient the spotlights can be fitted directly, with edge patching applied after cutting.
What is the difference between recessed and surface-mounted spotlights and which suits a Kuwaiti room better?
Recessed units sit flush inside the ceiling giving a clean look suited to the gypsum ceilings common in Kuwaiti villas. Surface-mounted spots fix onto the ceiling face and suit concrete soffits where cutting is not practical. The choice depends on ceiling type and void depth.
Does Kuwait's intense heat affect spotlight units fitted inside a ceiling void?
The void above a gypsum ceiling can reach very high temperatures in summer. Spotlights with an appropriate heat rating and cables with heat-rated insulation must be used to keep the wiring safe over time.
How many spotlights does a typical Kuwaiti living room need?
The count depends on room area, the beam angle of the chosen unit and any supplementary lighting. Units are generally spaced evenly to cover the full floor area without dark spots. We confirm the exact number after the site visit.
Can spotlights be installed without opening walls or removing ceiling sections?
Usually yes. Cable connections are reached through the fitting holes themselves if existing cables run in the ceiling void. If new cable runs are needed a small chase may be required to route the cable to the nearest switch or junction point.
