Call nowCan window guards be fitted from the inside rather than the outside?
Yes, internal fitting is possible when outside access is difficult or unsafe. External anchoring is generally stronger because the bolt reaches deeper into the thicker part of the wall reveal.
Are decorative patterned guards as strong as plain straight bars?
Strength depends on the steel section size and anchor specification, not the pattern. A decorative design using the correct bar diameter with sound welds is equally strong as plain bars.
How do I protect metal guards from rusting in Kuwait's coastal areas?
A two-coat system, anti-rust primer plus an exterior topcoat, slows salt attack significantly. Periodic inspection of fixing points and touching up any flaking patches before rust spreads keeps the guard in good condition.
Can a hinged or openable guard be fitted on a window that serves as an emergency exit?
Yes, a frame with an internal-release hinge and latch can be fabricated, giving daily security while allowing the window to be opened quickly from inside in an emergency.
Does fitting window guards make it harder to clean the glass from outside?
Adequate bar spacing allows a cleaning brush or squeegee to pass through without difficulty. Tighter spacing limits this, so intended cleaning method should be discussed when setting bar gaps before fabrication.
