Signs the first-fix was done poorly

Damp rings or cracks around grilles point to a poorly sloped or uninsulated condensate line hidden above.
Weak airflow from one grille only

Rattling inside the ceiling void
A recurring knock or rattle often means a duct hanger or supply collar was left loose during first-fix.

Call nowCan AC first-fix be done after the gypsum ceiling is already closed?
It is possible but requires opening the gypsum board, installing collars and drain lines, then making the ceiling good again. Cost and time are considerably higher than doing first-fix before the board goes up.
Why does the condensate line need insulation in Kuwait specifically?
Kuwait's summer air carries enough humidity that a bare cold drain pipe sweats on its outer surface. Without insulation, that surface condensation drips into the ceiling void and stains or softens the gypsum board below.
What is the difference between first-fix and unit installation?
First-fix covers everything set before ceilings and walls close: duct sleeves, condensate lines and cable conduits. Unit installation happens later, after finishing work on ceilings and walls is complete.
How many supply grilles does a typical room in a Kuwaiti home need?
It depends on room area, window exposure and ceiling shape. Large reception rooms and rooms facing the western afternoon sun often need 2 or more grilles to avoid warm spots.
Does first-fix include fitting airflow dampers?
Dampers on branch ducts are best fitted during first-fix while the ceiling void is open. Adding them later means reopening gypsum board, which adds cost and disruption.
