Why do hot supply lines in Kuwait need thermal insulation at first-fix stage?
Summer heat raises roof tank temperatures significantly, making uninsulated hot lines lose efficiency and degrade faster. Fitting insulation at first-fix stage is far easier and cheaper than retrofitting it later.
What is the difference between first-fix and full plumbing and electrical works?
First-fix is the concealed stage hidden inside walls and floors before finishing. Full works include fitting fixtures, appliances and final connections after finishes are complete.
Can first-fix point positions be changed after the slab has been poured?
Changes after pouring require mechanical cutting or partial demolition and patching, raising cost and extending the schedule. Finalising all positions before work begins is strongly recommended.
Does Kuwait's hard water affect which pipe material is chosen for first-fix?
Yes, high mineral content accelerates corrosion in galvanised iron, so PPR pipes are preferred in new first-fix work for their resistance to scale build-up and high temperature tolerance.
