First-fix is done after block walls are up but before the floor screed is poured and before plastering. This allows route adjustments and a full pressure test before any surface is closed.
Why do bathroom supply stub-out positions differ from kitchen ones?
Each fixture has its own required height and lateral offset. A mixer, WC and shower each demand different dimensions, and any error means cutting finished tiles later to correct the position.
Does the WC drain pipe diameter depend on the bathroom layout?
Yes. The run length and number of direction changes influence the required diameter. Using the correct diameter for the actual layout prevents blockages that a smaller pipe would cause repeatedly.
Does Kuwait's hard water create specific problems for new bathroom first-fix plumbing?
Mineral-heavy water deposits scale inside mixers and water heaters. Heat-fused PPR is less prone to internal corrosion than galvanised iron, extending the network life and reducing maintenance calls.
What happens if a floor drain stub-out position is found wrong after the screed is poured?
Correcting it requires breaking the screed, rerouting the pipe and re-pouring. This is why stub-out positions are checked carefully against the fixture layout before the screed is ever poured.
