What the work covers - Reinforced-concrete wall

What the work covers

Complete reinforced-concrete wall execution from trench excavation to finished surface.

  • Footing excavation

Trench dug and cast with reinforced concrete to the required depth.

  • Full concrete frame

Columns and tie beams cast along the full wall length.

  • Wall reinforcement

Continuous rebar mesh inside the wall body preventing cracking or lean.

  • Foundation waterproofing

Waterproof layer on the footing protects rebar from saline groundwater.

  • Wall casting and finish

Full concrete pour with external render or stone cladding finish.

  • Gate openings

Gate openings formed with reinforced concrete lintels above each span.

Materials and methods used

  1. Sulphate-resistant concrete

Resists saline soil attack that would otherwise corrode the footing from within.

  2. Epoxy-coated or galvanised rebar

Protects rebar from long-term moisture and saline groundwater exposure.

  3. Early-hour pours with wet curing

Pouring before peak heat and covering with wet hessian prevents thermal cracking.

  4. UV-stable cement render

Exterior render layer withstands Kuwait summer heat and blocks moisture ingress.

Common mistakes with reinforced-concrete walls

  1. Insufficient concrete cover

Rebar too close to the surface rusts quickly, splitting the concrete face within years.

  2. Shallow footing in clay soil

A shallow footing in clay soil causes uneven settlement and a leaning wall.

  3. Columns disconnected from footing

Casting columns separate from the footing creates a weak joint that cracks under vibration.

  4. Skipping foundation waterproofing

Kuwait coastal soil is saline; omitting waterproofing destroys the footing in a few years.

What goes wrong on most builds.

Most problems are built in early and found late. These three cost the most to fix.

  1. 01

    Shortcuts under the finish

Concrete and steel disappear under the finish, so a shortcut there stays hidden until it cracks.

  2. 02

    Mistakes behind the wall

A water or drain mistake found after the finish means breaking new tile.

  3. 03

    A rushed finish

The finish is what you live with every day. Rushing it shows in every corner.

The solution?

One licensed company for the structure, the pipes and the finish.

  1. A concrete slab with its rebar grid before the pour
    Shortcuts under the finish

    Engineering supervision on site

The structure is followed before it is covered.

  2. Water and drain pipes inside a wall before tiling
    Mistakes behind the wall

    Plumbing by the same company

    Laid before the walls close.

  3. A bathroom finished in modern marble
    A rushed finish

How it works.

  1. First contact

Call or WhatsApp us to describe your plot and wall requirements.

  2. Site visit

We visit to measure dimensions and check soil type and groundwater level.

  3. Quotation

Detailed quote sent showing quantities, specification, and total cost.

  4. Excavation and pour

Footing trench dug, rebar fixed, and concrete poured in controlled stages.

  5. Finish and handover

External finish applied, final inspection done, then formal handover.

What sets the price.

Several project factors shape the quote, with length, height, and soil conditions being the main drivers.

Get a quote
  1. Total wall length

Every additional metre raises rebar, concrete, and pour quantities.

  2. Wall height

Taller walls need more columns, heavier rebar, and a deeper footing.

  3. Soil and groundwater conditions

High groundwater requires extra waterproofing and sulphate-resistant concrete mix.

  4. Finish specification

Natural stone or premium render costs more than a standard cement finish.

  5. Number of gate openings

Each opening needs a reinforced lintel and formed jambs on both sides.

Why one contractor beats four.

Shell and finishing with one company, from footings to keys.

  2. Pay in instalments

Construction and finishing on instalments. Ask us for the details.

  3. Engineering supervision

Architectural drawings and engineering supervision on site.

  4. After handover

Why choose a fully reinforced concrete wall over a standard block wall?

A fully reinforced concrete wall offers greater rigidity and resistance to ground movement and vibration. It suits sites with unstable soil, high walls, or where maximum long-term strength is the priority over cost.

Can a reinforced concrete wall be built before the plot title deed is finalised?

It is strongly advised to wait until plot registration is complete. Any boundary dispute may require demolishing the encroaching section. Confirm ownership documents and plot boundaries before work begins.

How is exposed rusting rebar treated in an existing wall?

Rust is removed mechanically, an anti-corrosion coating is applied to the bar, and the concrete is repaired with a compatible repair mortar. Leaving it untreated widens the crack and weakens the full wall section.

Does a reinforced concrete wall footing differ in coastal areas compared to inland plots?

Yes. Coastal plots have higher and more saline groundwater, so the footing needs greater depth, sulphate-resistant concrete, and side waterproofing. Inland footings may need less protection depending on soil testing results.

Can lighting cables or camera conduits be run inside a reinforced concrete wall?

Yes. Conduit sleeves are fixed in position before the pour so cables pass safely inside the concrete. Running cables after casting requires chasing, which can damage the rebar and weaken the wall.
