What sets this area apart

Sharq plots range from 500 to 800 square metres and mix ground-level shops with residential units and offices. The ground frame relies on columns spaced 5 to 6 metres apart to carry multiple storeys above, and the slab pours at minimum 20 cm thickness to handle the load. We confirm the municipality approval for total building height and floor count before any foundation work, as the limits differ between coastal and inland zones.

Sharq lies in the Capital governorate, a mixed commercial and residential area near Kuwait Towers and Sharq Marina.

The ground slab requires a clear floor-to-floor height of at least 3.5 metres between ground and first floor per building code.

Questions about Ground-floor construction in Sharq

Call now
What slab thickness is needed for upper floors to be added?

The ground slab pours at minimum 20 cm thickness, based on structural load calculations and column spacing. Greater thickness may be required if columns are wider apart or upper floors carry heavier loads.

Can service pipes run through the ground floor slab?

Running pipes through the slab weakens its structure, so we route most services in horizontal ducts below ground level or along column walls from inside, keeping safe distance from reinforcement steel.
