What sets this area apart

Most Zahraa homes are mid-rise apartment buildings, four to six storeys, with medium-sized flats and standard ceiling heights of 2.7 to 2.9 metres. These heights allow a suspended gypsum ceiling to hide electrical runs, ventilation and air conditioning ducts without shrinking the room too much. Designs often include partition walls to divide rooms or mark living zones, and boards are fixed to parallel metal studs that take up 5 to 8 centimetres from the original ceiling. Light and ventilation opening positions are set at the drawing stage to avoid cutting boards after installation.

Zahraa sits in Hawalli governorate, a residential district of apartment buildings with regular layouts and standard ceiling heights.

Standard ceiling heights in Zahraa range from 2.7 to 2.9 metres, allowing a safe drop for suspended framing.

Questions about Gypsum design in Zahraa

Call now
How many centimetres does the suspended ceiling drop from the original slab?

Usually 5 to 8 centimetres to accommodate the metal studs, electrical runs and ducting. That gap is enough for most applications and keeps the room height comfortable.

Can a large room be divided with a gypsum partition wall without a supporting column?

Yes, if the wall length and height are within safe limits. We install metal studs fixed top and bottom, but the structural design must be checked if the partition carries any live load above.
