What sets this area apart

Rumaithiya blends modern luxury villas and beachfront homes on large plots, and their floors and bathroom walls face humidity and salt air from the sea. Ceramic and porcelain in relatively older villas may show salt erosion and surface spalling. We inspect tile and bed closely to determine if damage is surface or deep in the bed. If we find bed damaged by salt or moisture-saturated, we remove it fully from those zones and allow the surface to dry completely before applying fresh adhesive and tile.

Rumaithiya lies in Hawalli governorate, a seafront district of luxury villas, Rumaithiya Co-op and quiet streets beside the Gulf.

We check the bed for salt and moisture damage before setting new tile, and may remove damaged bed entirely if saturation is deep.

Questions about Tile-over-tile installation in Rumaithiya

Call now
How do we address salt erosion on old tile in beachfront villas?

If erosion is surface only, we inspect the bed beneath to confirm it is undamaged. If the bed is sound, we scrape off salt and surface spalling and apply new tile. If the bed is salt and moisture-damaged, it must be removed and the surface dried before new installation.

Will new tile resist salt spray if it is over an old bed on the seafront?

Yes, if the old bed is sound and free of salt and moisture saturation. But we closely check the bed's condition, and if it shows salt saturation, it must be removed because it will affect new tile later.
