What sets this area apart

Abu Hasaniya comprises residential villas of varying ages, from modern builds to older homes on sea-facing plots. Older villas have original ceramic floors that may be stable but need cosmetic updating, while newer ones may have floors damaged by coastal humidity or minor structural movement. In both cases, we tap-test the tile bond regularly, repair grout cracks and treat voids with grout injection before laying the new layer.

Abu Hasaniya sits in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate, a district of sea-facing residential villas on varied elevations.

We raise the new floor level by at least 2 centimetres above the old to prevent horizontal joint overlap.

Questions about Tile-over-tile installation in Abu Hasaniya

Call now
Can new tile be laid over old flooring in an older sea-facing villa?

Yes, provided the old tile is bonded and free of deep cracks. We test adhesion by tapping, repair voids and fissures, and use moisture-resistant adhesives.

What if there are cracks in the old tile underneath the new?

We inspect the depth of cracks and surrounding voids. If cracks are only in the grout surface, we inject grout. If they extend into the tile body, we assess whether the floor is stable before proceeding.
