What sets this area apart

Shuhada is a residential district with villas on plots of 600 to 1,000 square metres, mostly four storeys of relatively modern construction from the 1990s onward. Homes here sit on deep foundations and strong frames, which often allows adding a fifth floor in some cases. We review the permit file and original structural calculations, then move directly to testing samples from foundations and columns. We then design precise reinforcement by adding steel in columns or adjusting beams if needed, before pouring the new storey in a coordinated sequence.

Shuhada is in Hawalli governorate, an upscale residential district with relatively new villas built on strong foundations and columns.

Most villas in Shuhada have foundations 2 to 2.5 metres deep with a central column carrying the upper-floor beams.

Questions about Additional floor in Shuhada

Call now
Can we add a fifth storey to a four-storey villa?

It depends on the original structure's calculations and foundations. If the villa was designed with safety margin yes; if foundations and columns are minimal it may not be feasible. We check the permit file first.

Does column reinforcement require vacating the home during work?

Yes, during reinforcement, excavation and pouring we need to vacate the top floor and the one below for safety and to allow equipment and material movement.
