What sets this area apart

Shuhada combines residential blocks of 4 to 6 floors with detached villas on regular-sized plots. Most buildings are relatively old with weak or absent original insulation. East and west walls face direct sun in morning and evening, heating the first and second floors noticeably. We apply external insulation to exposed walls and fit reflective panels on south-facing windows. Residential blocks need shared roof insulation and partition wall insulation between units to stop heat transfer between flats.

Shuhada lies in Hawalli governorate, a residential district mixing apartment blocks and villas on orderly plots.

Partition walls between apartment units need sound and thermal insulation with combined thickness of at least 150 millimetres.

Questions about Thermal insulation in Shuhada

Call now
Can east and west walls of an apartment block be insulated from inside?

Possible, but external insulation is better to stop heat before reaching the wall. If architectural constraints force internal work, we use air gaps to prevent moisture and paint peeling.

Do you insulate partition walls between adjacent flats?

Yes, we fit mineral wool boards 50 to 75 millimetres thick in the gap between walls to cut heat and sound transfer. This requires partial removal of existing walls and careful rebuilding.
