Vinyl / SPC flooring in Ahmadi Stables

Installing vinyl and SPC flooring in Ahmadi Stables requires deep knowledge of moisture absorption and vibrations from horse movement. We select rigid SPC boards with moisture-barrier backing and fix them to level concrete substrates before edge finishing.

What sets this area apart

Ahmadi Stables contains open-air stalls, long corridors and indoor training tracks, all exposed to high moisture from water, sweat and urine. Vinyl and SPC floors in these locations must withstand point load from horse hooves and repeated movement without cracking or buckling. We carefully check the concrete substrate for rising damp and hairline cracks, then lay polyethylene membrane before fixing boards with mechanical fastening. The narrow corridors and sharp angles at stall entrances need precise cuts and safe edge finishing to prevent corner lift.

Ahmadi Stables are located in Ahmadi governorate, a specialised area for horse breeding and equestrian sport.

Interior stall floors require a minimum 2 per cent slope toward drainage sumps to ensure rapid water runoff.

Questions about Vinyl / SPC flooring in Ahmadi Stables

Call now
Can vinyl and SPC withstand horse weight and hoof pressure?

Yes, if we choose SPC thickness of at least 4 mm and add a rigid polyethylene foam underlay. The boards are mechanically fastened to concrete, not glued, since adhesive can slip under repeated point load.

How do you protect the floor from high moisture and urine in the stalls?

We lay 200-micron polyethylene barrier on the concrete before board installation, and seal all joints and edges with moisture-resistant silicone. The boards themselves are water-resistant, but edges and undersides must be protected from seepage.
