What sets this area apart

Funaitees has dense residential housing and apartment blocks with compact kitchens, mostly in older or mid-age units with plain concrete or traditional tile floors. Narrow kitchens trap moisture easily during cooking and washing, and leaks from drain pipes or refrigerators occur frequently. We apply a thick moisture barrier to the substrate and ensure drainage routes are kept clear of the parquet underlay, then fit a slightly raised threshold at the kitchen entry to contain any spill.

Funaitees is in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate, a district of dense apartment blocks with compact kitchens in both older and newer units.

We raise the threshold at the kitchen entry slightly to contain spilled water and protect parquet in adjacent areas.

Questions about Kitchen parquet in Funaitees

Call now
Can kitchen parquet be installed in an older unit with uneven substrate?

Yes, but the substrate must be levelled first with a thin cement screed. After that we apply the barrier and bond the parquet on a flat surface to ensure board stability.

What is the difference between a regular kitchen threshold and a water-tight one?

A water-tight threshold is slightly raised and has a wider base to form a physical barrier against water flow. A regular threshold is low and may allow water to seep into the adjacent floor.
