Stair marble in Kuwait - Kuwait City

Stair marble in Kuwait City

Marble stair installation in Kuwait City demands precision because most stairs connect multiple floors in dense residential and commercial towers. We measure and profile the marble to match the stair's approved slope, then bed each tread and riser solid on a firm cement-sand bed on the concrete slab.

What sets this area apart

Buildings across Kuwait City combine tall residential towers and mixed-use commercial blocks on varied plot sizes. The stairs are enclosed between side walls and lit from above, usually no wider than 1.2 metres. This setup demands marble cut to exact measurements of the slab depth and riser height, and bedded with a thick, strong mortar layer to prevent voids under the surface, otherwise the stair rings hollow underfoot.

Kuwait City lies in the Capital governorate and houses tall residential and commercial buildings around Liberation Square and the Grand Mosque.

Most stairs in Kuwait City buildings require a minimum riser height of 17 cm and tread depth of 30 cm per code.

Questions about Stair marble in Kuwait City

Call now
How do you prevent marble stairs from sounding hollow when stepped on?

We apply a 4 to 5 cm thick cement-sand bed under each tread and compact it firmly to fill any voids and lock the marble tight to the concrete slab.

Can marble stairs be installed in an old building without breaking the existing step?

It depends on the old step's condition. If the concrete slab is sound and level, we remove only the top layer and bed the new marble on it. If the slab is cracked or uneven, the concrete must be repaired first.
