What sets this area apart

Kuwait City has old and new buildings side by side: sleek apartment blocks with uniform door openings, government offices with swing and fixed doors, and shops with glass and wooden doors. Openings vary in depth, width and height by design and age, requiring on-site hand measurement rather than relying on drawings alone. High humidity in the city demands treated wood and oxidation-resistant hinges and finishes, so we check frame plumb with a spirit level before final fixing.

Kuwait City sits in the Capital governorate, home to the Grand Mosque, the Towers and the main government offices and shopping district.

Standard residential door height in newer Kuwait City buildings is 2.1 metres, and we set the frame with a building gap of at least 5 centimetres from the opening edges.

Questions about Wooden door installation in Kuwait City

Call now
How do you measure a door opening in an older building where the walls may not be plumb?

We use a steel tape measure and spirit level. We measure the opening at three heights, set the frame to the narrowest point, then fill gaps with shims for plumb before final fastening with installation screws.

Do you choose the wood type and finish based on the door location in the building?

Yes, doors facing the weather and moisture get treated wood and thick oil-based oxidation-resistant finishes. Interior doors in corridors and offices get standard wood and modern paints or varnish. We also select hinges and locks by door weight and frequency of use.
