What sets this area apart

Sabahiya is a coastal district in Ahmadi governorate, close to the sea, with medium-rise residential buildings on medium-sized plots. Airborne salinity and high humidity make the environment very harsh on tile and other materials. Exposed tiles face rapid corrosion from salt and repeated moisture, and salt-cement reactions beneath the tile can cause expansion and cracking. We use salt-resistant cement and tile with very high salt resistance. We also check that old base layers may already be salt-affected, so we may need to clean and rinse the surface before laying.

Sabahiya lies in Ahmadi governorate, a coastal residential district near the sea where salinity and humidity are very high.

In coastal Sabahiya, we use adhesives and cement rated for salt and moisture resistance per coastal standards.

Questions about Courtyard tiling in Sabahiya

Call now
Does standard tile work in Sabahiya or must special tile be used?

Special tile is necessary. Salt and humidity corrode standard tile very quickly. We choose tile with very high salt and moisture resistance and adequate thickness.

How do you protect the base from salt effect in Sabahiya?

We inspect the base and rinse it with fresh water to remove surface salt. Then we use salt-resistant rated cement and an extra waterproofing layer. This prevents salt reactions beneath the tile.
