Courtyard tiling in Kuwait - Fintas

Courtyard tiling in Fintas

Fintas courtyard tiles face coastal factors: high salt humidity, seasonal rain and intense heat. We use salt-resistant porcelain and deep protected joints to ensure long-term durability.

What sets this area apart

Fintas is a coastal area near the beach with modern villas and mid-rise apartments on varied plot sizes. Salt moisture in the air seeps into joints and the base, and seasonal rains pool quickly on open courtyards. The core issue here is not heat alone, but material corrosion from salt and moisture together: iron in the base rusts and salt crystals form inside joints. We choose non-porous porcelain, joints with salt-resistant chemical base, and strong waterproofing under the base.

Fintas sits in Ahmadi governorate, a coastal area near Fintas beach and the well-known Co-op.

Coastal courtyard tiles need a base membrane resistant to salt and moisture for at least 20 years.

Questions about Courtyard tiling in Fintas

Call now
Why do salt crystals form inside tile joints near the beach?

Salt from coastal air enters joints through moisture; water evaporates and leaves salt crystallized, damaging the joint. We use chemically-based grout that raises salt outward and blocks it from penetrating deep.

Is marble tile better than porcelain in Fintas?

Porcelain is better because it is less porous and salt and moisture cannot penetrate inside. Marble is porous and absorbs salt and water quickly, leading to cracking and decay.
