What sets this area apart

Abbasiya residential towers of 8 to 12 storeys rely on roof tanks filled from deep wells or the municipality network. The pump draws from a shared ground-floor or underground tank 5 metres deep and pushes upward through a vertical riser that passes each floor. Since older towers have welded steel pipes prone to internal corrosion, we test water quality and install sediment filters and flushing valves to purge rust deposits before the roof tank is filled.

Abbasiya sits in Farwaniya governorate, a district of medium-height residential towers with roof tanks on building tops.

The lift from a shared ground tank to the roof tank on a 10-storey tower typically exceeds 30 metres, requiring a pump discharge pressure of at least 3.5 bar.

Questions about Roof-tank pump installation in Abbasiya

Call now
How do you handle rust in old welded pipes before commissioning the new pump?

We fill the system slowly and run the pump gently for 30 minutes, then open flushing valves on lower floors to expel rusty water. We repeat this two or three times until the discharge water runs clear.

Do we need an extra buffer tank between the shared tank and the pump?

Not always, but if the shared tank is very deep or clearance is tight, we may add a small buffer tank (1 cubic metre) near the pump to reduce suction line losses.
