What sets this area apart

Wafra is a farming and residential area on the country's periphery near the Saudi border, with wide, deep plots. Buildings are typically residential villas or farmsteads of one or two storeys; soil is deep clay with high moisture content. Foundations need sufficient depth to reach firm layers below wet clay, and excavation requires good drainage to prevent water pooling. We use standard concrete and typical rebar, but carefully monitor groundwater to prevent shrinkage cracks.

Wafra lies in Ahmadi governorate, an agricultural-residential zone with very wide plots and deep clay soil.

Deep clay soil in Wafra requires foundations at least three metres deep to reach firm strata.

Questions about Shell construction with materials in Wafra

Call now
How do you manage high soil moisture in Wafra?

We use good drainage around the foundation and choose moisture-resistant concrete mix. We check soil water content before pouring and place a damp-proof layer beneath the base.

Are shrinkage cracks common in Wafra foundations?

They can occur if concrete dries unevenly. We use regular shrinkage joints and protect the surface from rapid drying immediately after pouring.
