What sets this area apart

Wafra agricultural plots are very large, from 1500 to 3000 square metres, accommodating single or two-storey villas and small 3 to 4-storey buildings. The frame is simple with light columns and short beams due to modest loads. The main challenge is shallow groundwater and wet clay soil, so we sink foundations at least a metre below the groundwater table and use moisture-resistant concrete. We carefully separate internal and external drainage systems and place a strong moisture barrier under floor slabs.

Wafra lies in Ahmadi governorate, an agricultural district with spacious plots near the co-op and the Saudi border.

Foundations in Wafra sink below the shallow water table and use concrete resistant to moisture and salinity.

Questions about Structural frame construction in Wafra

Call now
How do you protect the frame from moisture and groundwater in Wafra?

We deepen foundations below the water table and pour moisture-resistant concrete. We place a strong insulating layer of bituminous or polyethylene material under floor slabs and around columns that penetrate ground floors.

Can you build a frame on a wide agricultural plot with wet clay soil?

Yes. We require a geotechnical report first to measure bearing capacity and groundwater depth. We adjust foundation depth and type according to the data, and use heavier columns and piles to compensate for weak clay soil.
