What sets this area apart

Hassawi is a mixed district of residential towers 6 to 15 floors high, hotels and villas on deep plots (30 to 50 metres). The tall buildings rely on reinforced concrete shear walls 25 to 40 centimetres thick to resist lateral loads and wind. When adding a basement or opening vents for mechanical systems, we cut these walls very carefully because weakening them affects the entire building's stability. Fine sandy soil transmits vibrations easily, so we use diamond wire and continuously cooled water saws.

Hassawi sits in Farwaniya governorate, a mixed district of tall residential towers and hotels on deep plots.

Shear walls in tall residential towers range from 25 to 40 centimetres thick and contain very dense rebar.

Questions about Concrete cutting in Hassawi

Call now
Can you cut shear walls in an occupied residential building?

Yes, but under strict conditions. We obtain permits from the municipality and structural engineer, schedule cuts in set hours to minimise disruption and dust, and use water saws and dust barriers.

What happens if a shear wall is weakened by mistake?

Shear walls carry heavy lateral loads from wind and seismic forces. If compromised, we install temporary steel bracing immediately and require the structural engineer to inspect the frame and approve repair procedures before proceeding.
