What sets this area apart

Mansouriya plots are surrounded by main roads of varying levels, so buildings need retaining walls to secure ground during basement excavation or when building on a plot higher than street level. The soil is sandy with moderate lateral pressure, but seasonal moisture requires effective drainage behind the wall. We set the foundation at adequate depth and use horizontal and vertical reinforcement to resist bending and lateral shift.

Mansouriya sits in Kuwait governorate near the Fourth Ring Road, a district of plots at varying elevations requiring precise ground stabilization.

We maintain at least 30 cm clearance between the wall and the adjacent building foundation to protect neighbouring structures.

Questions about Retaining wall in Mansouriya

Call now
What is the difference between a retaining wall on a raised plot versus a lowered one?

On a raised plot, we build the wall on the lower side to hold soil pressure from above; on a lowered plot, we may need a wall supporting from the deep side during excavation. The structural calculation differs in each case based on height and soil.

Can the retaining wall serve as part of the building foundation?

In some cases yes, but the design must be separate and carefully planned. A wall holding ground may carry loads from the building above if designed for it, but we coordinate that with the structural engineer and municipality.
