What sets this area apart

Wafra plots are agricultural and residential mixed, ranging 500 to 3000 square metres, scattered over wide spacing. The soil is wet clay with high groundwater, especially during rainy seasons. The footing must reach 90 to 100 centimetres to prevent severe differential settlement from clay expansion and shrinkage. We use a thick gravel base (15 centimetres) for drainage, and 25 centimetre blocks to handle extra pressure. Render is applied 3 centimetres thick on both sides to prevent moisture absorption from the high water table.

Wafra sits in Ahmadi governorate, an agricultural zone on wet clay soil near the Saudi border.

We excavate fence footings to 90 to 100 centimetres depth to prevent settlement from wet clay expansion and shrinkage.

Questions about Block fence in Wafra

Call now
Why does a Wafra fence need a much deeper footing than other areas?

Wafra's wet clay soil expands and contracts severely by season and groundwater level. 90 to 100 centimetre depth places the footing below the movement zone, ensuring fence stability.

Should fence render be thicker in Wafra?

Yes. We apply 3 centimetre thick render on both sides instead of the standard 2 centimetres to prevent moisture absorption from the high water table and seasonal dampness.
