Two-storey annex in Kuwait - Taima

Two-storey annex in Taima

Two-storey annexes in Taima expand villas on desert-suburb plots with deep foundations engineered for sandy soil and arid conditions. We design the frame to Jahra building standards and account for desert-zone constraints.

What sets this area apart

Taima villas are relatively new, on large plots in a desert zone far from the coast, with very deep sandy soil and minimal groundwater. A two-storey annex fits these spacious plots well, but design requires a solid foundation because sand may shift under load if not well compacted. Water, power and drainage runs extend from the original villa to the annex via concealed ducts under floors or surfaced routes, coordinated with columns and beams for later maintenance. The desert's low humidity means concrete dries fast, so we apply wet curing to new concrete to build proper strength.

Taima sits in Jahra governorate on the desert fringe, a district of newer villas on wide, deep sandy plots.

We compact sandy soil to minimum one metre below the foundation with vibratory equipment before concrete pouring.

Questions about Two-storey annex in Taima

Call now
Does Taima's sandy soil require a specific foundation depth?

Yes. We conduct full soil testing and set foundation depth based on results and annex load. Typically it is 1.5 to 2.5 metres depending on soil type and structural load.

How do you cure new concrete in Taima's dry desert climate?

We apply wet curing for 7 days using water and moisture to build concrete strength. We cover the pour with damp cloth and spray regularly to prevent rapid drying cracks from the arid heat.
