What sets this area apart

Most Yarmouk buildings were constructed decades ago with thick brick walls but no effective thermal insulation layer. Villas require insulation on the roof, exterior walls and under suspended ceilings, while apartment blocks need perimeter wall and rooftop insulation. In this area we test the thermal conductivity of materials and select insulation thickness based on wall orientation and sun exposure.

Yarmouk is in Kuwait governorate, a stable residential district of villas and apartment blocks built over several decades ago.

Exterior walls in Yarmouk require insulation at least eighty millimetres thick to meet recommended thermal standards.

Questions about Thermal insulation in Yarmouk

Call now
Can thermal insulation be added to an old exterior wall without demolition?

Yes, we bond insulation boards to the outer or inner face of the wall and then cover them with a protective layer. The external method is better but requires safe scaffolding during installation.

What is the difference between roof and wall insulation in a villa?

The roof receives direct sun heat so it needs thicker insulation, while walls are exposed gradually. We select insulation material and thickness for each surface based on its orientation and hours of sun exposure.
