Sound insulation in Kuwait - Abu Fatira

Sound insulation in Abu Fatira

Sound insulation in Abu Fatira requires treating exterior walls, windows and roof slabs because the area sits close to major highways. We apply sound-absorbing materials to every building element that transmits noise, and install double-glazed windows with calibrated air gaps.

What sets this area apart

Abu Fatira comprises detached villas and apartment blocks on medium-sized plots, and most buildings suffer noise leakage through exterior walls and roof slabs due to proximity to major highways and heavy traffic. We install acoustic insulation layers of rock wool and foam between concrete and masonry layers, plus an air-sealing paint on all joints and cracks. External windows and doors need special treatment because they are the primary weak points in the insulation envelope.

Abu Fatira is located in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate, a residential district near major highways and heavy traffic corridors.

We require a minimum 50mm air gap between sound insulation layers and the external wall to meet performance standards.

Questions about Sound insulation in Abu Fatira

Call now
Can roof slabs be insulated in an existing building?

Yes, but the application differs from new construction. We add an insulation layer above the slab from inside with metal supports, or use flexible acoustic panels if ceiling height is constrained.

What is the difference between insulating from highway noise and neighbour noise?

Highway noise is low-frequency and requires thick, massive walls with large air gaps. Neighbour noise is high-frequency and needs sound-absorbing materials at lesser thickness, such as rock wool and acoustic foam.
