Materials and methods used
UV-stabilised grass fibre
Fibres contain UV inhibitors to prevent the green colour fading and fibres snapping under Kuwait's intense summer sun.
Compacted aggregate base
A properly compacted gravel layer prevents water pooling and stops the surface from sinking unevenly over time.
Silica sand infill
Brushed between fibres to hold them upright, preventing matting and tangling that shortens the grass life.
Seam and edge adhesive
Heat-resistant adhesive applied at roll seams and perimeters to stop separation when surface temperatures spike.

Laying on uncompacted soil
Loose soil settles unevenly and visible waves and bumps appear across the grass surface within a short time.
Skipping drainage layer
Without proper drainage, water traps beneath the grass, causes odours and accelerates base deterioration.
Mixed fibre direction
Joining rolls in different pile directions makes seams visible because light reflects differently from each section.
Unsecured perimeter edges
Loose edges lift in Kuwait's winds, exposing the base and allowing fine dust to accumulate beneath the grass.

UV-stabilised artificial grass holds up without rapid fading or fibre breakdown. The surface does heat up more than natural ground, and a light water rinse before use can help on peak summer days.
Can artificial grass be installed on a rooftop?
Yes, provided the roof has a sound waterproofing layer in place before installation. Lightweight grass with a drainage layer beneath it is used to avoid water sitting on the waterproofing membrane.
Is artificial grass suitable for children and pets?
Yes, grades with soft rubber infill work well for children. For pets, good drainage and regular rinsing are important to keep the surface clean and prevent odour buildup beneath the grass.
Does artificial grass need regular maintenance in Kuwait?
Periodic brushing to remove fine dust from between fibres, fibre raking where heavy foot traffic flattens them, and rinsing after dust storms are the main tasks. Upkeep is far lighter than natural turf.
How does artificial grass compare to natural turf in terms of total cost?
Initial installation cost is typically higher, but artificial grass requires no regular irrigation, fertilising or mowing. Over time, the saving on water and maintenance can offset the higher upfront cost.
