Call nowCan a deep crack in a kitchen marble slab be repaired without full replacement?
In most cases yes. The crack is cleaned, filled with colour-matched epoxy and polished once cured. Full replacement is only needed when the slab has split into two completely separate pieces or when the substrate beneath has failed.
How are turmeric and cooking oil stains removed from marble?
A targeted poultice or stone cleaner is applied and left to draw out the stain before rinsing. Deep-set turmeric or oil may need more than one treatment. A penetrating sealer is then applied to stop future absorption.
Will the repaired area be visible after the work is done?
Good colour and vein matching makes most repairs difficult to notice. Heavily veined stone is harder to disguise perfectly than uniform white marble. We show you the expected result based on your specific stone before work begins.
Can just a section of the marble surface be polished rather than the whole slab?
Spot polishing is possible but a visible gloss difference may appear between the treated area and the rest of the slab. When the full slab is accessible, polishing the whole surface gives a more consistent result.
When does replacing kitchen marble make more sense than repairing it?
When the slab has broken into multiple pieces, when repairs would cover more than a third of the surface, or when the substrate beneath is wet or damaged, replacement gives a longer-lasting result.
