What sets this area apart

Yarmouk is a balanced residential district of medium-sized villas and 4 to 6-storey apartment buildings, mostly on 400 to 600 square-metre plots with concrete frames and brick or stone facades. Heat and soil moisture cause wall and floor cracking, and many old pipes and electrical runs need replacement. Renovation requires structural crack survey, leak detection and repair in wet areas, and floor re-sealing. We strip old wiring and piping from walls and run new networks before refinishing and repainting. Electrical and plumbing work must follow the revised building code for service separation and cable runs.

Yarmouk sits in the Capital governorate, a balanced residential area near Yarmouk Sports Club and the Co-op.

We survey structural cracks in walls and columns for any frame movement before renovation work begins.

Questions about Old-house renovation in Yarmouk

Call now
Are cracks in an 1980s apartment building walls a sign of structural failure?

Not necessarily. They may be thermal shrinkage or balanced foundation settlement. We use crack monitors and deflection gauges to determine if cracks are stable or active. Old, slow-moving cracks are usually benign, but we inject them with epoxy to prevent water ingress.

Do bathroom and kitchen floors need re-pouring in an old house?

We first inspect for leaks and damage. If the tile is sound and the base is strong with no cracks, we may just lift the tile and re-seal and level. But if there is active leaking or deep cracks, we strip everything and pour new floor with modern waterproofing.
