What sets this area apart

Most Khalidiya villas were built in the 1980s and 1990s with stone or concrete walls covered in layers of plaster, lime wash and old oil paint. These poorly adhering old layers trap moisture behind the surface and block natural evaporation. Removal requires careful hand scraping and in some cases mechanical sanding to avoid damaging the base surface. After final cleaning, we apply a metal primer and then flexible acrylic paint that lets walls breathe and release internal moisture.

Khalidiya lies in Kuwait Capital governorate near Khalidiya Park, a district of older residential villas.

Thick stone and concrete walls in Khalidiya require paint permitting vapour diffusion above one thousand grams per square metre daily.

Questions about Facade renovation in Khalidiya

Call now
Why not use new oil paint on old walls?

Oil paint forms a barrier that blocks vapour evaporation, trapping moisture behind it and causing the base to dampen and peel quickly. We use flexible acrylic coatings that allow vapour transmission and natural wall breathing.

How do you remove thick old oil paint without damaging stone?

We start with gentle hand scraping using flat, flexible metal tools, then use mechanical sanders at low speed with fine grit at safe distance from the surface. Testing on a hidden corner confirms the stone is unharmed before proceeding across the full facade.
