What sets this area apart

Abu Fatira comprises modern villas and mid-rise apartment blocks on plots of 400 to 600 square metres. Many of these buildings have basements or underground car parks, spaces prone to seasonal moisture and seepage from shallow soil layers. Bathrooms and kitchens in older villas often lack adequate ventilation, sustaining relative humidity above 60 percent. In these cases we specify moisture-resistant board with sealed joints and anti-mould primer before the finish coat.

Abu Fatira is in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate, a modern residential district near the oil refinery.

We measure relative humidity with digital instruments before board installation and require mechanical ventilation in areas exceeding 65 percent.

Questions about Moisture-resistant gypsum in Abu Fatira

Call now
Is moisture-resistant board in a basement enough to stop damp?

Resistant board protects the surface from mould and cracking, but the moisture source must be addressed first with waterproof coating on the external wall or perimeter drainage.

Does frame installation differ on wet walls versus dry ones?

Yes, we raise the frame base 15 cm above the floor and install vapour barriers underneath. Metal studs are mounted with rubber isolation to break capillary moisture transfer.
