What sets this area apart

Doha is a coastal district full of modern apartment blocks and villas near the port and sea, exposed to very high humidity and sea salt air that affects materials rapidly. Tiles, adhesive and grout must resist salt and continuous moisture without corroding metal fixtures. We use epoxy adhesive for bathrooms, kitchens and open courtyards, and select tiles with very low water absorption to minimize internal seepage.

Doha sits on the capital's coast, a residential and commercial district near Doha Port and the marina area.

Tiles in coastal zones must have water absorption below one percent to prevent moisture creep beneath the surface.

Questions about Ceramic & porcelain tiling in Doha

Call now
Why is salinity a problem in tile installation near the port?

Salt in the air deposits on adhesive and grout, causing slow degradation that weakens them over time. We use epoxy adhesive that does not react with salt, clean the substrate of salt before installation, and prevent water pooling beneath tile with moisture barriers.

Is marine-grade tile different from standard tile?

There is no formal marine-grade tile standard, but we select tiles with very low water absorption and non-porous body. Porcelain is better than standard ceramic in coastal areas because it is denser and absorbs less moisture and salt.
