What sets this area apart

Daiya features a mix of 6 to 10-storey apartment blocks and villas with large gardens on spacious plots. In villas, AC ducts run through suspended ceilings and external passages, exposing them to direct sun and humidity. In apartment blocks, ducts pass through columns and tight service corridors between units. Both layouts need tight insulation to prevent condensation on cold pipes and reduce electricity consumption.

Daiya lies in Kuwait's Capital governorate, where mid-rise apartments and villas stand near the British School of Kuwait.

External AC ducts on villas require insulation thickness up to 75 mm to resist outdoor heat and condensation.

Questions about Duct insulation in Daiya

Call now
How do you prevent condensation forming on insulated ducts in villas?

We apply a vapour barrier around the insulation, typically aluminium foil or moisture-resistant plastic. This barrier separates the cold air inside the pipes from the humidity in hot outdoor air.

Can you insulate existing ducts in a suspended ceiling without removing panels?

Yes, if there is enough space above the panels. We carefully remove the panels near the ducts, apply insulation, and reinstall them. If space is very tight, we may use thinner insulation or expose the ducts with the building owner's approval.
