What sets this area apart

Rawda apartments are spread across three- or four-storey buildings on spacious plots with large balconies and views over building gardens. Original floors are typically red or beige marble, walls painted in light colours. Horizontal services are relatively simple because buildings are older and not crowded, making rerouting straightforward. A common issue is water leakage around old balconies, especially after winter rain, so we strip the perimeter flooring, redo the fall and waterproofing completely.

Rawda lies in the Capital governorate, a quiet residential area surrounded by parks and green spaces.

Balconies in Rawda units typically run one and a half to two metres deep, with fewer shared roof services compared to dense modern blocks.

Questions about Apartment renovation in Rawda

Call now
Why do balconies leak water during winter?

Old floors have lost their slope and cracks have accumulated in the waterproofing layers beneath. We strip the old surface, reset the base with correct slope, apply a fresh waterproof membrane, then tile.

Can we enlarge the balcony or merge it with the adjacent room?

Enlargement requires municipality approval if the facade changes. Merging with an adjacent room means removing the wall and reworking the waterproofing edge, which is possible but needs engineering checks to prevent future leaks.
