What the installation covers
from locating the right pipe position through fitting, testing and handover

Valve position survey
Identifies the nearest accessible uPVC joint or cleanout for valve placement

Backflow valve fitting
Seats a one-way uPVC check valve firmly inside the drain run

Partial break and reinstate
Opens the pipe access point and reinstates the cover after valve is set

Closure test
Confirms the flap seals against reverse flow and passes forward drainage freely

Drain line check
Verifies the line is clear of blockage before the valve is finalised

Installation report
Documents valve location, type and fitting date for the owner's records
Mistakes that make backflow valves fail
Fitting over a live blockage
A valve seated above a grease build-up cannot close fully, leaving a gap for surging water
Wrong pipe diameter
An undersized valve allows backflow to bypass the flap edges under surge pressure
No access cover left
Concealing the valve without a cleanout cover makes future inspection or cleaning impossible
Poor slope at valve point
Placing the valve where pipe slope is inadequate slows drainage and lets sediment collect around the flap
Before you call the technician
Pinpoint where backflow appears
Note which fixture shows reverse flow: floor drain, toilet pan or basin outlet
Check the external manhole
If the external manhole is overflowing, the public line surges are the direct cause
Record when it happens
Does it happen at peak hours, after rain or randomly? Timing guides the technician's diagnosis
Know your pipe material
uPVC accepts a standard valve; old galvanised iron needs a separate assessment before fitting

What goes wrong with most plumbing.
Plumbing problems start hidden and end with breaking tiles. These three cost the most.
01Pipes laid in a rush
Pipework rushed before the walls close stays hidden until it starts to leak.
02Leaks you cannot see
A slow leak behind tiles shows up as damp, stains and a higher water bill.
03Nobody answers in an emergency
A burst pipe at night cannot wait for a contractor who has moved on.
The solution?
Pipework, leak detection and maintenance from one licensed company.

Pipes laid in a rushFirst-fix plumbing by the builder
Laid as part of the build, before the walls close.

Leaks you cannot seeWater leak detection
We find the source first.

Nobody answers in an emergency24-hour emergency plumber
Plus regular maintenance contracts after handover.
How it works.
Call or whatsApp
Describe where backflow occurs, which floor is affected and pipe type if known
Site assessment
Technician inspects the drain run and selects the best valve position
Line preparation
Drain line is cleared and pipe is exposed at the fitting point
Fitting and test
Valve is seated, reverse closure and forward flow are tested before reinstatement
Handover and report
Reinstatement is completed and a report with valve details is handed to the owner
What sets the price.
No fixed rate applies; these factors shape the actual quote for each job
Get a quoteTile breaking required
Pipes hidden under tiles require opening and retiling after the valve is fitted
Pipe location and depth
A deeply buried or in-wall run increases labour time and reinstatement materials
Existing pipe material
Old galvanised iron may need a section replaced before the valve can be seated
Number of valves needed
A multi-floor building may need one valve per branch line, not only the main run
Call-out timing
Night and public-holiday call-outs differ in cost from standard appointment slots

Questions, answered.
Call nowDoes a backflow valve stop drain surges completely or only reduce them?
A correctly fitted valve on a clear line blocks backflow reliably. If the line still carries partial blockage or the valve diameter does not match the pipe, protection is incomplete. Clearing the drain before installation is essential.
How often should a backflow valve be inspected after fitting?
Opening the access cover and checking the flap once a year is advisable. Kuwait's hard, mineral-heavy water leaves scale that can restrict flap movement if the valve is left unchecked.
Can the valve be fitted without breaking any tiles?
It depends on pipe location. If an external manhole or inspection chamber is close enough, no tile work is needed. Pipes buried under floor tiles require partial opening and retiling.
What is the difference between a drain backflow valve and a water supply non-return valve?
A drain backflow valve handles waste water in gravity or low-pressure drain lines. A supply non-return valve operates under mains pressure. The two are built to different specifications and are not interchangeable.
Can one valve protect all drains on an entire floor?
If all floor drains merge into a single branch before the manhole, one valve on that branch is enough. Where drain lines run separately to the sewer, each line needs its own valve.
