Wafra is an agricultural zone with very deep sandy soil and high groundwater levels, especially in rainy and winter seasons. Excavating the pool foundation means working with soft soil prone to collapse and rising groundwater, so we always use perimeter drainage and deep drainage trenches away from the site. We pour concrete on a bed of compacted gravel and treated sand to ensure rapid drainage. Membrane and waterproofing must be absolutely tight because moisture from below ground seeps slowly but persistently if not blocked.

No, if we install tight perimeter drainage and deep drainage trenches away from the site, plus a complete waterproof membrane of polyethylene or fibreglass under the concrete. We monitor groundwater levels before excavation and adjust trench depth according to site conditions.
