What sets this area apart

Stations in Zour are built with very thick reinforced concrete frames and horizontal slabs bearing extremely heavy machinery, with deep foundations for thermal equipment stability. Rooftop annexes here are typically control rooms, technical offices or parts storage. Before design, we obtain the original station specifications and calculate the annex's total load with a high safety factor, since failure could disrupt operations. We also account for heat radiated from the station when selecting annex materials and reinforcement.

Zour is located in Ahmadi governorate, a district of power generation and water desalination facilities on the gulf coast.

Power station slabs carry distributed loads reaching 2000 kilograms per square metre or higher.

Questions about Rooftop annex in Zour

Call now
How do you account for heat from the power station when building an annex?

We select concrete and materials that tolerate thermal expansion, and leave separation gaps between the annex and hot station components. We also design effective ventilation in the annex to prevent heat buildup.

Can an annex be built on a slab already bearing extremely heavy equipment?

Yes, but only after studying the existing equipment load first. If the slab is in good condition with remaining capacity, we design a light annex and anchor it to separate columns, or reinforce the slab further.
