What sets this area apart

Most Siddiq buildings are reinforced concrete structures of three to five floors with flat roofs of limited bearing capacity. Before building an annex, we sample the original concrete and analyse the reinforcement, inspect the existing frame's columns and beams to calculate the added load. If the structure can carry it, we design the annex using the same structural standards, with clear separation of new service runs from the existing networks. Flat roofs need careful waterproofing and rainwater drainage before pouring.

Siddiq is in Hawalli governorate, a dense residential district of established buildings on medium-sized plots.

We conduct load testing or concrete sampling of the existing structure before the municipality approves the annex.

Questions about Rooftop annex in Siddiq

Call now
How do you confirm the roof can bear the new annex weight?

We sample the concrete and study the existing columns and beams, calculate the added load and compare it to the original structure's capacity. If capacity is sufficient, we proceed with design; otherwise we propose structural reinforcement.

Can the new annex utilities be kept separate from the old building services?

Yes, we run separate routes for electricity, water and drainage from a new main meter for the annex. This simplifies maintenance and independent operation between the new and existing units.
