What sets this area apart

Taima's desert plots start at 1500 square metres and up, with homes spread far apart on very deep sandy ground. The annex is built on deep foundations reaching 2 metres or more to hit stable layers, with a light steel frame to reduce loading on shifting soil. Ventilation and thermal insulation are critical here because temperatures exceed 50 degrees Celsius, and low humidity means drying and heat-driven cracks become dangerous if not caught early.

Taima lies in Jahra governorate, a remote desert district with deep sandy soil and widely spaced plots.

Taima annexe foundations are usually dug 2 metres or deeper to reach stable soil beneath the deep sand.

Questions about Cement-board annex in Taima

Call now
Are deep foundations necessary on this sandy soil?

Absolutely. Taima sand is unstable and shifts with wind and seasonal changes. We dig to 2 metres or deeper to reach stronger clay or rock layers, then build reinforced foundations on that base.

How do you prevent the annex cracking from extreme heat and dryness?

We install expansion joints every 1.5 metres in the cement-board walls and apply UV-protective coating externally. Continuous ventilation relieves internal heat pressure and reduces drying-induced cracks.
